For visitors who have difficulty with mobility
The gardens are set on a steep slope with many steps so there is limited wheelchair access. There is access around the courtyard and house and it is possible to enter the moat to see the snowdrops but paths are not paved. Wheelchairs are not provided but a map is available from the entrance kiosk which shows suggested routes.
During snowdrops, the tearoom in the house is accessible by a ramp and a portable accessible toilet unit will be available on site. During all other openings, and on snowdrop Sundays, teas are served in the nearby village hall where there are also accessible toilet facilities.
Although parking is not always permitted in the grounds blue badge parking is provided at all garden events.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions about disabled facilities before arranging your visit.
