Discover the ever-changing beauty of Benington Lordship Gardens. The season starts begins with the flowering of snowdrops and hellebores in February. Stroll through the enchanting snowdrop walk planted along the old inner bailey. The formal rose garden, accented with weeping pear trees, tulips, and box hedging, delights the senses.  Enjoy the main borders where you will find a mix of contemporary naturalistic planting alongside the more traditional herbaceous style. The walled kitchen garden offers edible wonders and a gravel garden, while spring-fed ponds and meadows teem with wildlife. Situated just 35 miles from central London (Covent Garden), the house and garden at Benington Lordship have been the chosen location for many photoshoots for brands such as Mulberry, Godiva and Lidl, and for magazines including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Hello and OK!. Film shoots for television have included Late Flowering Lust,  'Poirot' Five Little Pigs, Just William (BBC, 2010), C4 drama Humans (Series 1 & 3), Summer of Rockets (BBC, 2018), Harlots (Series 3, 2019), The Gold (BBC, 2022) and One Day (Netflix, 2022).

Started in 2006 the Chilli Festival is a hugely popular family event attracting thousands of visitors over three days, offering a chance to buy chilli plants, products and sample foods from around the world. Stalls are set up throughout the garden and a wide range of refreshments is provided to help you cool down, including cold beers and ice creams. Every February, Benington Lordship's gardens, burst to life with naturalized snowdrops, hellebores, and winter-flowering shrubs. The moat and Norman keep provide a picturesque backdrop, along with colourful acer, cornus, and willow stems around the lake. The snowdrop walk, a century-old planting, offers a spectacular display of both common and double snowdrop species. A collection of rare and unusual snowdrops, such as 'Diggory,' 'Lady Beatrice Stanley,' 'Blewberry Tart' and 'Primrose Warburg' is a highlight of the display in the borders.
